Among the many creative hobbies I have (pottery, painting, sketching, graphic design, and knitting on a loom), I also
enjoy stringing necklaces of glass, silver, and pewter beads and pendants. I was making them for a friends when it was
suggested that I market them for Holiday gift-giving.
I choose my materials carefully so as to create a simple, yet expressive wearable piece of jewelry.
While there are glass bead makers who spend countless hours designing lovely works of art, for every hour they spend
creating the 'perfect' bead, there are many more hours spent getting to that point - where the not-so-perfect ones are born.
That ageless, and time-consuming art has its disappointments, and the time spent on the crafting of the 'perfect
bead' carries over to the cost of the jewelry.
That's where the simplicity of my designs pays off - less stress for the artist, means less cost to the consumer.
These are some of the designs that my friends inspired, although I do custom work as well. Soon I will be adding a clay-based
collection which will incorporate glass and silver beads.
And as always my work reflects my desire to Honor God and accept His will in my life. May you leave my site, inspired
to live a Christ-filled life, giving all your worries to Him who saves us.
"If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin
lies at the door. and its desire is for you, but you should rule over it." (Genesis 4:7 NKJV)
